“The price is so high that we want to reduce the number of people who buy Viagra online and then turn to counterfeit drugs like counterfeit Viagra,” says Steven Woloshin, a health behaviour researcher at Stanford University in California.
The study, which involved more than 200 men in four U. S. states, found that the price of Viagra, which is the active ingredient in erectile dysfunction pills, increased by an average of two percentage points per month.
The researchers also found that men who use counterfeit Viagra – which can be found by clicking a box to check the website – increased the price by up to 10 percentage points per month.
“This finding suggests that the way that Viagra is sold online has made it more difficult for men to get a prescription for it,” says Woloshin. “The higher the price, the more difficult it is for the men to obtain it.”
Viagra, or sildenafil, is used to treat erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis. The drug, also known as tadalafil, is a medication that can improve blood flow to the penis.
It is not the first drug used to treat erectile dysfunction.
The first was Avanafil, which was developed to treat high blood pressure. In 1998, a second drug, Fosamax, was developed to treat angina, a type of chest pain, by relaxing blood vessels in the heart and improving blood flow.
The first was Amlodipine, by Adalat, by Amlodipine, by Amlodipine, by Amlodipine, by Amlodipine, and by Amlodipine.
In 2004, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) withdrew its use of steroid drugs from the doping test list. In 2006, the U. Army Test and Place enzyme (E2) enzyme found doping in athletes. In 2009, the U. Olympic Committee banned testosterone boosters.
The study’s authors, including Woloshin and his co-authors, say they found the drug was not a substitute for physical exercise but rather was a cheaper alternative to Viagra.
“The main benefit of Viagra is that it is available over the counter,” says Woloshin. “So if you buy it online, you have to pay the actual price.”
Viagra, which is the active ingredient in erectile dysfunction pills, works by increasing blood flow to the penis.
It is the only drug approved to treat erectile dysfunction. However, Viagra was not available to use for erectile dysfunction until at least 2004.
Researchers say that the Viagra effect is most apparent in men who already have erectile dysfunction, and that erectile dysfunction is associated with a number of factors such as depression, anxiety, poor health, low self-esteem and low testosterone levels.
“This is the first study to show that Viagra is more effective than testosterone boosters for erectile dysfunction,” says Woloshin. “That’s because testosterone is more effective at increasing blood flow to the penis.”
In a clinical trial, which was carried out by a private group of researchers in eight states, men who used Viagra had an average of four more erections per month. That was because the drug increases the amount of blood flow to the penis when it is sexually stimulated, which is what it does when a man is sexually aroused.
“This means that Viagra has a greater effect on erectile dysfunction, compared to testosterone boosters,” says Woloshin.
“This may be because of the more sensitive and effective erectile function test,” he adds.
Doctors are studying drugs that are more likely to cause side effects such as sexual dysfunction, but Woloshin says there are no FDA-approved drugs to prevent Viagra from becoming a problem. It will take time, and testing may involve a thorough search for a safe drug.
He says that the drugs are currently under investigation by the FDA for possible side effects, including sexual dysfunction. Woloshin says the FDA has not yet made a decision on whether Viagra should be banned.
“There are currently no FDA-approved drugs to prevent Viagra from becoming a problem,” he says. “But we hope it works.
